Starting a Mastermind – by accident and then on purpose

In January of this year, I went to Bali for a Retreat ‘Ultimate Human Experience’ and after 5 days, I had created an extremely strong bond with the amazing women I had met on the retreat.

We left to the other sides of the world and we all spoke regularly and naturally we started collaborating, consulting with each other and supporting each other in our different careers.
We had a vegan chef handing out recipes, a nutritionist offering information on macro and micro nutrition advice, a book coach proofing everyone’s manuscripts. I provided business advice while making amazing vegan food in my kitchen.

We all were introduced to each other’s networks. Money was being passed across the table. I was making sales through connections almost daily. We manifested collaboration above competition and created a MASTERMIND without realising.

If you are looking at changing your life and your business, MASTERMINDS ARE THE BOMB.

How do they work?
A group of kickass people meet weekly and tackle issues together. They learn on each other, give advice and share connections.

Here is how they help:

1.    Challenge yourself and your businesses
A mastermind will help grow your business to its fullest potential. Good masterminds give you structured training and building blocks over a period of time. You grow your skills, learn collaboration within the group and develop trust and networking outside of your regular channels.

2.    Support
Being in business is HARD, I think we can all agree, and sometimes it can feel overwhelming. Sometimes issues can feel isolating. A mastermind group helps when things are difficult. They are the sounding board when things go wrong. You will never be short of alternative suggestions on how to overcome issues. You will develop deep and meaningful friendships over above all the business help.

3.    The other people in the mastermind
The Mastermind simply isn’t taught by the facilitator or the experts, it really is peer to peer support as well. You get advisement, quicker problem solving and more resources are readily available.

When Masterminds occur, it is not uncommon to see things like business partnerships and cross collaborations.

4.    Increased profits and quicker results

Many businesses leave money on the table – the purpose of the group is to help you take full advantage of all the opportunities that surround you and build your business into the huge success it deserves to be. You will be challenged to think bigger.

5.    Accountability

Good masterminds will give you a blue print, action items and objectives you need to meet before the next meeting – which the Group will hold you to account for. It takes real discipline to succeed in any endeavour. Being held to account by your mastermind colleagues ensures you will get the work done in a supported way.

Sounds great, right? More money, more support, better networking around me and business collaborations? This is everything I am about.

After the success of the accidental mastermind, I’ve decided I want to create an EPIC BUSINESS MASTERMIND highly motivated women who want to kick some ass.
10 women for 50 weeks with a structured blueprint to help you succeed. Sounds fun, right?

I want to leave you with this closing thought from Rumi.

Stand close people who want to fire your flames.
